Salary Range Seattle 132,000 - 192,000 USD per year Your Job The Recommendation Platform team’s mission is to help employers reach and attract job seekers more effectively. We are harnessing Indeed’s employer and market data to launch a platform for building and experimenting with recommendation algorithms to alert employers to corrective actions and new opportunities they can take advantage of to improve their ad campaign performance, find more job seekers for their jobs, and expand their productive use of Indeed’s products and services. By integrating actionable insights into a variety of UI surfaces and backend systems, we will help employers achieve their hiring goals more efficiently. The result: employers fill their open positions and people get jobs. You will be an integral part of a new team that is collaboratively developing and iteratively releasing a brand new platform at Indeed. You will work with engineering and product managers, data scientists, and other software engineers to launch new capabilities, reach latency and reliability goals, and integrate into partner teams’ systems. You will receive mentoring from senior engineers to help you build your skills and advance your career at Indeed, and you will mentor engineers in turn. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain the new platform’s services, APIs, data pipelines, and recommendation selection algorithms Deploy and scale the platform to provide low latency and reliable recommendations Collaborate with engineers on UI and backend teams to help make integration partnerships successful Participate in the scrum process and technical design sessions Continually improve service quality and performance Who You Are You are self-motivated, disciplined, and build systems that scale.
