Staff Software Engineer - Enterprise Candidate Platform Team (Backend)

Salary Range Seattle 184,000 - 266,000 USD per year Your Job The Enterprise Candidates team is focused on enabling our enterprise customers to hire great talent efficiently at a larger scale. To do so, we are reengineering a product suite from the ground up with that new customer base in mind, while building infrastructure that powers a seamless experience at scale and integrates with other Indeed products. On the candidate platform team, you will build and own key parts of candidate infrastructure centered around the import and export of candidates between Indeed’s systems and other enterprise applications and make these imported candidates available to all of Indeed’s products. You will be designing and creating performant systems at scale (order of millions of candidates) in a highly collaborative environment, focused on delivery and impact. Some responsibilities would include: Work closely with stakeholders to understand/identify critical business needs and problem areas. We ask the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ before the ‘how’ Design and develop simple and sustainable solutions to complex problems Help team decide priorities during planning Who You Are Who You Are You have a BS or BSA in Computer Science or similar major (equivalent industry experience will also be considered) You have at least 5 years of industry experience Specific language familiarity is not required, but previous experience with Java is preferred You love to write clean code, and are willing to give and receive feedback frequently, via code/architecture reviews, whiteboard sessions, and meetings.
