Salary Range Tokyo 11,020,000 - 15,980,000 JPY per year Your Job The Job Search Backend team builds and operates Indeed's flagship job search engine, handling billions of requests per month over the world's freshest job data with high performance and reliability. Our focus is to continuously scale and improve this platform, and to enable the broader family of Indeed engineering teams to integrate their products with ease. We work realistic hours and have flexibility to fully disconnect during vacation.As a Technical Product Manager in the team, you will own the product vision for your product area and execute against that vision to drive impactful improvements to Indeed’s entire job search ecosystem. That includes: Leading a team of site reliability and search engineers to deliver iterative and measurable platform improvements to the rest of Indeed. Driving the definition of long term objectives (2~5 years product vision), mid-term goals (OKRs), and day-to-day operations (agile processes). Closely collaborating with engineering teams contributing to the job search ecosystem: search relevance, personalization, monetization, taxonomy, etc. Identifying new product opportunities and developing strategies to assess them. Leveraging data to drive your decision making and influencing others to do the same. Who You Are You're someone who wants to see the impact of your work making a difference every day. Most of all, you love solving hard technical challenges to make a difference in the lives of other people, whether they be job seekers, employers, or fellow Indeedians. 3+ years of technical product management experience focused on building data intensive applications (such as event streaming pipelines or distributed data systems), API-first products or highly available software platforms. Prior experience developing a vision for your team that is aligned with business goals and defining effective goals for your product to measure progress toward that vision. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience is ideal. Outstanding data analysis and data-driven decision making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
