Backup Administrator

Infosys is seeking Backup Administrator, who is a skilled, dedicated and proactive Data Protection Engineer with strong interpersonal and technical skills to operate a large-scale Backup infrastructure deployed globally. The candidate will support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices. He/she will also assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices, provide Back and Recovery documentation, monitor Overall backup Platform usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions

Required Qualifications:
•    Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Phoenix, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
•    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
 •  At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
•   Experience in Data Protection discipline in large environments
•   Experience in administering enterprise backup solutions such as CommVault and Dell EMC Networker with large tape libraries
•   Intermediate to expert Data Domain exposure ranging from deployments to L3 troubleshooting
•   Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environments

Preferred Skills (Good to have):
•    Understanding of Azure and Azure Stack is a plus and its interoperability with Dell EMC solutions NetWorker and Data Domain virtual editions
•    Ensure upkeep of all SLAs, KPIs, RFCs, reports, and audit compliance requirements
•    Partner with other track disciplines to ensure backups compliment platform upgrades and disaster recovery activities
•    Requires oncall responsibilities and resolve escalations during business and after hours
•    Scripting knowledge on either Windows or Linux is desirable
•    Lead POC efforts if called up on by the vendor
•    Must be able to work in a 24 hours on-call capacity.
•    Should have products knowledge essential and Comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts
•    Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management

The job entails sitting as well as working at computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
