Data Governance Consultant

Infosys is seeking a Data Governance Consultant. The position will primarily be responsible interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT, New York/New Jersey or Dallas, Tx  or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US 
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience  
• Core Data Governance (DG) experience in a Development Role
•  Experience in a consulting role
•Should be able to independently conduct Data Governance assessment exercises which includes assessment around Data Lineage , Data Catalog , Data Quality and Business Glossary
•Should be well versed and hands-on with any of following mentioned Data Governance tools: Informatica EDC & AXON / Collibra / Talend/ IBM Watson
•Should have hands-on experience in managing end to end delivery aspects in a Data Governance project i.e. Scanning Data Sources, Creating Data Lineage , Creating Data Catalog, Data Classification and Data Tagging , Data Quality , defining business glossary
•Should have experience in defining Data Governance model which includes Stewardship, Workflow creation
• Programming skills in Java/Groovy and be able to develop complex workflows
• Experience in performing Rest API based integrations
• Should be able to perform client facing role and independently run workshops

Preferred Qualification 

• Implement Workflows to enable data management capabilities
• Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting
• Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle
• Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies

• Should be able to work closely with offshore teams 

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.  Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
