Data Governance Consultant

Infosys is seeking a Sr. Consultant in Data Governance practice. The position will primarily be responsible interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Required Qualifications:
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience out of which 2 years to be core Data Governance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time
• Candidate can be located at Northbrook- IL, Phoenix-AZ, Raleigh-NC, Richardson-TX, Indianapolis-IN, Hartford-IL.  This position may require travel in the US.
• 4 years of Information Technology experience out of which 2 years to be core Data Governance experience
• Hands on experience in Core Data Governance (DG) experience in a Development Role
• Should be able to independently conduct Data Governance assessment exercises which includes assessment around Data Lineage, Data Catalog, Data Quality and Business Glossary
• Should be well versed and hands-on with any of the Data Governance tools.
• Should have hands-on experience in managing end to end delivery aspects in a Data Governance project.
• Should have experience in defining Data Governance model which includes Stewardship, Workflow creation
• Experience in performing Rest API based integrations
• Should be able to perform client facing role and independently run workshops

Preferred Qualification 
• Implement Workflows to enable data management capabilities
• Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting

The job may entail travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.  Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
