Infosys is seeking a Grid Modernization Functional Lead - In this role, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
This position is based in Rosemead, CA. Candidate can work from anywhere within the US and or remote. This position may require relocation and or travel to project location.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from accredited institution. Will also consider three years of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Experience in Transmission and distribution automation processes and systems
• Experience in working on smart grid or grid modernization initiatives
Preferred Qualification:
• At least 7 years of total industry experience, with at least 5 years of experience in working on smart grid or grid modernization initiatives
• Experience in business requirement elicitation.
• Experience on key electrical utility systems like Outage management system (OMS), Energy management system (EMS), Planning tools, Utility IOT, asset management system
• Hands on experience with utility data model standards like CIM (61970 and 61968)
• Hands on experience in utility network model handling (building, analysis, trace engine algorithms)
• Experience in utility data analytics and measurement profiling like AMI, SCADA and generation.
• Knowledge of U.S utility standards conforming NERaC and NARUC (DER interconnection)
• Foundational knowledge of power system software like CYMEdist, GEPSLF, PSCAD
• Basic understanding of control system and power systems. Well versed in methodologies like Load flow, state estimation, short circuit duty calc.
• Experience in GIS for utilities (Asset mapping and network analysis)
• Hands on experience in utility network model handling (building, analysis, trace engine algorithms)
• Should be able to develop business process and system use cases.
• Should have strong understanding of Electric Grid Planning and Operation system landscape.
• At least 5 years of experience in implementing and enhancing industry standard products for Asset, Work, Outage management and Distribution operations.
• Should have excellent soft-skills and leadership skills to lead assessment workshops, and work with Enterprise architects to design roadmaps for next 5 years.
• Experience in utilities in North America.
• Experience of leading development team, working with client teams/SMEs and leading them through the project life cycle.
• Good interpersonal communications and analytical ability.
• Extensive travel to client location.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
