IoT Developer

h Python/JavaScript, integrate AWS IoT and AWS Lambda, and own production reliability via Incident & Problem Management, analytics, and deep debugging. If you love turning device telemetry with AI-driven logics into business outcomes and automating everything, this role is for you.

Must Have:

IoT Engineering (End-to-End Delivery)

• 4-6 years of professional experience, including 2+ years in IoT development with hands-on coding and end-to-end development.
• Design and implement device - to - cloud and cloud - to - device patterns using MQTT (topics, wildcards, QoS 0/1, retained messages, LWT).
• Build device and gateway applications in Python and/or Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) using SDKs (paho - mqtt/AWS IoT Device SDK).
• Implement robust connectivity (backoff, jitter, session persistence), payload schemas (JSON/CBOR), and edge buffering/offline sync.
• Create simulators/emulators for load, negative testing, and peak readiness.
• Collaborate with firmware, cloud, data, Connectivity Media (like MQTT, HTTP, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) and security teams to ensure reliable releases and platform stability.
• Experience embedding AI logic into IoT workflows (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, optimization)

AWS IoT & Serverless Integration

• Configure AWS IoT Core (certs & policies, thing registry, Device Shadow, Rules Engine), IoT Device Management (fleet indexing, OTA with IoT Jobs), and Greengrass where applicable.

• Basic understanding of containerization [Docker] and serverless architecture.

• Build serverless backends with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB/Timestream, Kinesis/Firehose, S3, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

• Implement observability with CloudWatch metrics/logs, X - Ray tracing; secure workloads via IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager.

• Use Infrastructure as Code (CDK/CloudFormation/Terraform) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions/CodePipeline/Jenkins) for repeatable releases.

Nice to Have:

• 4+ years of Experience in IoT Development with building and shipping native IoT firmware apps at scale.

• Edge computing with Greengrass components, containers, and local ML inference.

• Experience with device telemetry, sensor integration and Industrial Protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA)

• Stream processing (Kinesis Analytics/Flink), Kafka/MSK, or time - series optimization.

• Experience with Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT, or hybrid cloud setups

• Protocol breadth: HTTP(S), WebSockets, CoAP, BLE; gateways (Raspberry Pi/industrial PCs).

• Security depth: PKI lifecycle, secure boot/TPM/HSM, OTA signing, device attestation.

• Data visualization & analytics (QuickSight, Grafana, Power BI) and alerting; scripting for ops (Bash/PowerShell).

• Knowledge of Source Control ( GIT ), Sniffers ( Charles ) and project Management tools ( Jira/Confluence/TFS ).

• Understanding of IoT security, encryption, and secure device onboarding.
