    Position summary

    Engage in other HR activities and special projects as assigned.

    Qualification:
    Basic

    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
    • At least 6 years of work experience including HR domain with Bachelor's degree or 3 years of relevant experience with Masters.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian HR laws and regulations
    • Work experience in a high / fast-paced organization with constantly evolving priorities. Also experience working for global / multinational matrixed organization is preferred
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Work with a high sense of urgency and efficiency with a top-level customer-focused approach

    Location for this position is in Calgary, Alberta. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to this area. Canadian citizens and those legally entitled to work in Canada are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

    Preferred:

    • HR domain knowledge of specific areas such as Compensation and Benefits, Organization Development.
    • Coaching and Mentoring skills for team building, client facing skills.
    • Crisis handling tasks
    • Experience working with goal-oriented metrics and KPI's
    • Facilitate timely flow of information for analytics and reporting for different HR processes.
    • Assist in manage and review the following - HR operations, Performance management framework
    • Manage and support the following aspects - Employee Assimilation, Hiring and Deployment, Performance Management.
    • Execute unit specific performance management framework
    • Monitor the employee governance process and adherence to code of conduct
    • Manage all aspects of reporting, analytics and metrics as required.
    • French language proficiency is an asset but not mandatory

    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
