Lead Java Developer

Infosys is seeking Senior Java Developer    
In the role, you will be a technology professional adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will create detailed design artifacts like program specifications, test plans; and independently develop and review code and contribute to the go-live plan. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or initially works remotely from anywhere within the U.S and be willing to relocate to the area within 4 to 6 Weeks of joining. This position may require travel to project locations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
  At least 4 years of experience in Java/2EE & Database

Preferred Skills

• At least 4 years of experience in Java/J2EE, SDLC, and OOP in the development of enterprise-level client-server web applications.

• Good to have experience on AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 as well as data formats in XML and JSON, Apache, NGINX, and Tomcat.

• Experience in Microservices and Containerization will be preferred though it will not be a constraint.

• Good knowledge In Architectural patterns such as MVC, DAO, and Design Patterns such as AOP, Façade, Factory, Singleton, etc.

• Knowledge in Secure Coding practices, GIT, Maven, and best CI/CD practices.

• Knowledge in Test Driven Development and Test Automation using Junit, Protractor, Selenium, etc. And Web UI Designs will be a plus.

• Basic knowledge in graphical designs and international encryption algorithms.

• At least 2 years of experience in software development life cycle 

• At least 2 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.

• At least 2 years of experience in Design and architecture review.

• Strong communication and Analytical skills

• Ability to work in a team in a diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
