    Position summary

    client meetings, understanding business requirements, and coordinating with the internal pre-sales team to create a well-structured proposal.

    • Developing strategic consulting services sales plans and carrying them out to completion.
    • In addition to providing leadership, principal consultants who know a client's industry participate in deliverables such as market analyses and communication and marketing plans.
    • Responsible for offering IT consulting services to prospects and clients.

    Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:

    • Seven years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience in client engagement and consultative selling and developing proposals for the public sector.
    • Knowledge of IT Services and US Government RFPs (State & Local) and proposal processes.
    • Strong communication skills and experience with proposal development and management.
    • Experience in managing clients and sales quotas.
    • Ability to explain and demonstrate IT services offerings.
    • Proficiency in IT services industry terminology and jargon aligned with Public Sector prospective clients.
    • Ability to liaise with management about consulting sales strategies.
    • Exceptional ability to negotiate sales deals, contracts, and service agreements.
    • Ability to evaluate client feedback and provide after-sales service.
    • Good knowledge of consumer behavior, as well as industry trends and innovation.
    • Ability to travel for up to 50% of the time.
    • This position will focus on the Mid-Atlantic Region of the US; candidates residing in that region are strongly preferred.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

    The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face.
