Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior SAP Solution Architect with deep expertise in the utilities sector to lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and integrated SAP solutions.

• Play a critical role in SAP ECC and (or) SAP S/4HANA version upgrade and implementation projects, modernizing legacy systems, enabling business transformation, and supporting strategic initiatives such as SAP S/4HANA migrations, cloud adoption, and regulatory compliance within the utility domain (electricity, gas, or water).
• Design and architect end-to-end SAP solutions aligned with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in the utilities sector.
• Lead architecture and solution design for SAP programs including S/4HANA transformations, IS-U implementations, and integration with AMI, CRM, GIS, and outage management systems.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution blueprints, and align technology strategy with operational needs (e.g., asset management, billing, metering).
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP and third-party platforms including cloud, IoT, and enterprise analytics.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and IT leadership to define SAP roadmaps and transformation strategies.
• Lead governance processes, architecture reviews, and technical quality assurance for SAP solutions.

Essential

• Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, Computer Science Engineering, or related discipline.
• S/4HANA Upgrade and implementation experience
• 18+ years of SAP experience, with at least 8+ years as a Solution Architect
• Strong expertise in SAP IS-U, S/4HANA, and key utilities modules such as Device Management, Billing & Invoicing, Customer Service, and Work Management.
• Proven track record in utilities transformation projects (distribution, retail, generation, or transmission).
• Solid understanding of utility-specific integrations
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the utility sector.
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA or IS-U preferred.
• Ability to work effectively and independently without constant supervision.
• Proven ability to review and develop functional and regression scenarios.
• Responsible to co-ordinate with the Systems Integrator, Business Stakeholders, and integrated 3rd Party Business Partners to effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• SAP Integration point understanding with inter SAP module particularly Finance and other applications.
• Ability to participate in steering committee and present updates/solution considerations to SLT as needed.

The Key responsibilities are:

• Understand the requirement and ensure to meet ICT and business expectations with the strong consulting and convincing capability of the associate.
• Ability to manage upgrade and implementation projects with a group of functional and technical teams
• Suggest solutions to client and prepare presentations for approval
• Capable of presenting solutions for approval and convincing client
• Strong Analytics and critical thinking skills
• Strong communicator in English both verbal and written
• Sound knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Sound knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA upgrades and implementations.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as Solution Architect.

SAP Functional consultant must have strong analytical ability. Critical thinking. Strong consulting skills.
Fluent communication both verbal and written.
