Senior Database Administrator

Infosys is seeking a Senior Database Administrator. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications:
•     Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Malta, NY, or Burlington, VT, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
•     Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
•     At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
•     At least 4 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on support and maintenance projects.
•     At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration 
•     Conduct: Installation, configuration, patching, upgradation, migration & administration Databases for Oracle 11g, 12c,18c, 19c and above
•     Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC+ASM administration, table partitioning, database links and Oracle’s parallel execution features
•     Provide support for troubleshooting and maintenance of databases using Oracle technologies
•     Install and configure packaged vendor-based systems
•     Implement and upgrade database management system as business needs demand
•     Administer database security according to documented procedures
•     Perform periodic database maintenance, including patching, regular database backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery tests
•     Work with RMAN backup/recovery and data pump export/import utility & Database Cloning
•     Monitor database performance fine tuning and query optimization
•     Work with replication tools such as Oracle GoldenGate - heterogeneous replication setup
•     DataGuard/standby database to maintain disaster recovery environments for business continuity
•     Experienced with OEM 13c/Oracle resource monitoring tools & shell scripting
•     Perform on-going support on database issues and ticket management
•     Perform other specific Database administration duties as defined in Working Practices
•     Provide after hours and on-call support to critical databases.
•     Experienced in Microsoft SQL Server (2012-2019) administration

•     Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
•     Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
