VMware Engineer

Infosys is seeking a skilled, dedicated and proactive VMWARE NSX-T professional with strong interpersonal and Technical skills to operate a large-scale VMWARE infrastructure deployed. The candidate will support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices. He/she will also assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices, provide  documentation, monitor usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of San Ramon CA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
•  At least 7 years of IT experience
 • Experience with VMware product suite
• Migration to VMware NSX-T Data Center (NSX-T) : migrate from NSX for vSphere to NSX-T Data Center
• Advanced Knowledge in Redistributing Dynamic Routing Protocols in NSX
• Configuring NSX High Availability for Distributed Logical Routers and Edge Devices
• Configuring a Layer 2 Bridge on an NSX Distributed Logical Router
• Creating and Connecting Universal NSX Switches and Universal NSX Routers
• Knowledge of VMware NSXT design and security engineering with proven experience
• Ensuring that networking standards are followed and are communicated broadly including changes
• Must be able to work in a 24 hours on-call capacity.
• Should have products knowledge essential and Comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good in communication and in Client Interaction
• Have good knowledge on Troubleshooting and providing speedy solution in case of failure of the applications.
• Cisco Skillset:-• Excellent understanding of all round networking and firewall principles
• Some hands on experience with networking technologies in AWS or Azure a plus
