Maintenance Planner
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for maintaining E&I and mechanical equipment through planning daily and outage maintenance work orders. This role's primary objective is to improve equipment reliability in a safe and cost-efficient manner. Planning includes developing work tasks and maintenance operations, estimating manpower needs, procuring materials, equipment, services, and technical support as required for the scope of work for work orders utilizing CMMS. The planner role is also responsible for managing contractor related to maintenance activities and supporting maintenance execution in upset and emergency conditions. The Planner needs to have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with E&I technicians, mechanics, maintenance, engineers, operations, contractors, and vendors.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT INGEVITY
- Support the plant's positive safety culture through enforcement of safe work practices, employee engagement, participating on safety and incident investigation teams.
- Plan daily and outage electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical work orders by developing job scope and task operations, procuring materials and equipment, developing work packages and updating maintenance plans in the CMMS.
- Secure and manage outside resources as needed for E&I and mechanical related jobs and projects.
- Support reliability to reduce break-ins and equipment downtime through the use of PdM, PM, RCFA/RCA, training and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support production, environmental and process safety through planning and executing prioritized work order backlogs.
- Periodically on call on a rotational basis.
- Support engineering for E&I and mechanical related projects. Make recommendations and provide economic justifications for capital expenditures in support of the plant's productivity, safety, environmental and cost reduction objectives.
- Maintain housekeeping of maintenance parts storage and continuous improvement through 5S projects.
- Backfill E&I and mechanical supervison of the hourly maintenance employees including responsibility for safety, daily work scheduling, job execution, troubleshooting, and employee performance.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 5+ years industrial maintenance experience required.
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance planning/supervisory experience preferred.
- BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical theories and principles required.
- Proficiency with CMMS and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts required, SAP preferred.
- Prior experience using CMMS and creating and updating BOMs and PMs preferred.
- Experience with E&I device/loop/control specifications, rotating equipment, blue prints and drawings required.
- Must foster a positive team environment with engineers, management, craftspeople, and suppliers and contractors.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel.
- Excellent technical, engineering, writing, time management, problem solving, organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) required. May occasionally lead E&I/mechanical or safety team meetings and training.
- On call support required.
- Knowledge of ASME and RAGAGEP preferred.
- Prior outage experience and vendor management preferred.
- This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
