AzFSM Production Staff Engineer
This position is for a Production Staff Engineer in AzFSM working shift 1.
This role requires a high degree of influence within the organization.
The staff engineer should be able to set direction and lead the teams of varying level of members.
This includes driving a commitment to Safety, Quality and setting Output goals in order to meet or exceed customer commitments.
A broad understanding of Safety, Yield, Defect and Output as well as in depth knowledge of the P1272 process flow will be keys to success in this role.
An ability to develop solid working relationship with the existing COS and ME's is essential in maintaining consistency and standardization in factory operations.
Furthermore, the Staff Engineer will need to be able to effectively partner with the Area Group Leaders, Area Managers and Factory Manager to be effective.
The Staff Engineer position must have extensive understanding of production automation systems and production business process and how these systems/processes integrate to meet the business objectives of the fab.
The staff engineer should be able to take a vast amount of information and condense it to a clear crisp message of factory priorities.
The staff engineer must also be able to deal with ambiguous situations and tackle new and complex issues.
The position will be expected to provide direction and implement lean manufacturing, MBPS, or other continuous improvement solutions to resolve the range of issues that impact factory performance and enable the factory to achieve its overall performance goals.
A Production Staff Engineer must have extensive fab operations experience and in-depth theoretical knowledge of Factory Physics and Supply Chain Management.
Additionally, a staff engineer must be able to apply this theoretical knowledge to actual factory situations in a real-time, high cadence manner.
A staff engineer also needs to have demonstrated the ability to influence at all levels of the organization from Factory Manager to MT to drive factory performance and optimize factory metrics.
Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is required so that the staff engineer can effectively coach modules and production department personnel to effectively solve problems.
The successful candidate will also have extensive 300mm automation systems knowledge and an understanding of these systems interact to achieve production objectives.
- 7+ years exempt Production/Manufacturing staff experience
- Experience leading a FIST or as a COS highly preferred
- Prefer a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline
- Extensive WIP Management knowledge and understanding of factory production and planning systems is required.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership and influencing capability.
- Extensive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
- Strong data-pulling and data-reporting skills demonstrated (ad-hoc reporting)
- 300mm experience and detailed MES knowledge is desired (including Lot Plan Editor, Split Chart UI, etc.)
