Graduate Research Intern
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
This position is located in the Emerging Security Lab (ESL), which is part of Security & Privacy Research (SPR) at Intel Labs. The mission of SPR is to drive industry-leading research on Trustworthy Execution, Anti-Malware, Identity & Authentication, Cryptography, and Privacy to deliver higher robustness and assurance on Intel platforms. The role will focus on the research on software visible side channels. The scope of the research is identifying and developing mitigations for software visible architectural and microarchitectural side channels.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your work experience, graduate school, post-doc research and/or relevant internship experiences.
. In depth knowledge in Computer Architecture.
. Must be in PhD. Degree program in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineer or related field.
. Familiarity with architectural and microarchitectural side channel attacks and mitigations
. Familiarity with tools for identifying side channel vulnerabilities in software and/or hardware
. Familiarity with compilers, managed runtimes, and software isolation techniques
. Publications in tier-one conferences
