Silicon Photonics Wafer Test Development Engineer

As a Wafer Test Engineer, you will develop first-of-a-kind wafer-level testing methods of components used in Intel's Silicon Photonic modules. You will manage test equipment development activities to qualify new optical wafer designs and provide test feedback to R&D teams. You will work closely with Manufacturing Operations on sort procedures. You will write code for software platforms to execute the tests and new setups and algorithms to extract parameters from the collected data. Strong cross-functional communications with design and manufacturing teams is expected in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or optical Materials Science with 4+ years of experience
Knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
2+ years of experience with semiconductor test equipment, such as parameter analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and switch matrices.
Experience programming and debugging data processing algorithms.
Strong computer, analytical skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, JMP, etc.)
MS or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or optical Materials Science
Technical background in optical communication components and/or systems
Knowledgeable in semiconductor device design such as lasers, electro-optic modulators, and PIN/APD receivers.
3+ years of relevant hands-on experience in HVM sort testing of photonic devices such as VCSELs and solid state lighting, with proven ability to integrate hardware and software into high volume test solutions.
3+ years of experience testing integrated photonic solutions, including transceiver and LIDAR systems.
3+ years of experience with SEMI standards for equipment communication.
3+ years of experience with statistical data analysis and process control for test and process characterization and yield analysis
3+ years of experience using Cadence or other layout tools.
3+ years of working with vendors to deliver capital equipment.
