We’re seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to support our virtual currency service offerings while providing guidance to our organization as it exponentially grows its fintech offerings generally. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding legal and commercial aspects of the cryptocurrency/blockchain/DeFi/smart contracts/NFT innovations as well as depth of knowledge in the financial technology sector with an ability to support and collaborate with a diversity of stakeholders, strong team mentality and be driven to grow professionally and personally.

• Eligile to practice law where located
• 5+ years of major law firm or large corporation in-house experience preferably working on cryptocurrency/blockchain, fintech, payments or related products
• 3+ years in commercial/transactional areas of contract drafting, negotiation and deal management for larger business transactions
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency compliance and regulations
• Strong problem-solving skills resulting in the risk appropriate insights leading to viable business options and solutions
• Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
• Great deal lawyer--willing and able to roll up your sleeves and get into the details of major deals with an emphasis on digital assets
• Have worked in, or closely with, one or more technology companies in the digital assets industry
• Great communicator and solid project manager, able to effectively prioritize and advance a large number of deals happening simultaneously, often on tight deadlines. Solid understanding of banking operations, payment network rules and other financial services regulatory issues
• Extreme organization skills

How you will lead

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and transaction documents, particularly with respect to cryptocurrency/blockchain partnership transactions, payments, innovative financial service alliances, and other third-party service agreements
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for input on privacy, data sharing, data security, regulatory and marketing considerations while developing and drafting form contracts – all while minimizing company and customer risk
• Maintain an understanding of regulatory impact in driving forward with innovative and changing digital assets and financial offerings while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Undertake team building and participation work from time to time to support larger initiatives within the legal group or organization at large supporting strategic company goals/objectives
• Work with Legal, Compliance and business teams to implement regulatory changes that impact customer facing products, services, and marketing efforts
• Be passionate and tech-savvy with a solid understanding of digital assets as well as fintech-innovation – all to provide support to various work streams enabling virtual currency/blockchain use and enjoyment
• Provide mentoring and cross-training of colleagues to undertake commercial legal work supporting trajectory changing products and services for Intuit
• Additional responsibilities as may be assigned as needed
