Head of Financial Investigations (Group Manager)

Seeking an exceptional candidate to lead Intuit’s comprehensive financial investigations across many money movement products and lines of business.  This is a senior leadership role and will be responsible for actively collaborating with all levels of leadership, representing Intuit on fraud recovery efforts, and leading a high performing team of investigators to manage these complex investigations within defined metric goals. 

What you'll bring

• 7+ years’ experience investigating complex fraud investigations in a relevant area to include payments, payroll, banking, crypto, financial services, audit, public accounting or other related financial operations area.
• 7+ years’ experience leading teams. A coach that loves developing people, embraces empowerment, accountability, and a high-performance culture creating a team that is constantly seeking new ways to deliver value and a better customer experience.  You have a track record of identifying and developing exceptional talent to build high performing teams.  
• Deep business acumen in the areas of money movement risk in the fin tech space including operations, investigation practices, and emerging fraud trends.
• BS/BA degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required. Law enforcement experience, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), securities license(s), and/or related credentials preferred.
• Ability to develop complex queries, manipulate, analyze, and summarize extremely large data sets to research and gather evidence.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills based on data analysis, investigative findings, judgment, and experience. 
• Expert oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate complex information accurately, clearly, and concisely to multiple stakeholders and levels of management.
• Periodic travel (up to 10%) may be necessary.

How you will lead

• The Financial Investigation leader will direct initiatives and staff to complete comprehensive risk investigations and fraud recovery efforts for money movement activities across multiple financial products and lines of business.  
• Both personally adhere to as well as consistently role model superior ethical actions, judgment, and decision making to ensure compliance with all company policies, regulations, and laws as well as minimize reputational risks.  
• Investigation scope includes but is not limited to identification, evidence gathering, mitigation activities, overseeing preparation of key reports and communications, and may involve personally testifying on findings. Complexity can vary considerably from one case to another.
• Collaboration and coordination with internal teams, senior leadership, financial partners, attorneys, regulatory bodies and/or law enforcement to gather evidence, communicate findings, assess mitigation steps, and ultimately manage recovery of assets.  
• Conducts in depth and advanced analysis to identify, communicate, and potentially drive opportunities to augment systems or processes to prevent future losses.   
• Report on investigation activities and outcomes.
• Builds and maintains a high performing team of risk investigation professionals through recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and related managerial activities to ensure case completion and quality measures within stated business goals.
• Ensure the investigation team adheres to the stated policies, procedures as well as the highest ethical standards.
