As the Principal Forecaster for the Consumer Group, you will be in a leadership position to advance the state of the art for our forecasting team, and influence our business strategies.

What you'll bring

• 7+ years of experience working in the analytics field
• 3+ years working in a planning or forecasting function
• Experience as a business partner for senior leaders; comfortable distilling complex data into a simple storyline
• Excited to mentor other team members and developing talent
• Highly proficient in SQL, Tableau, and Excel
• Have partnered with AI/ML teams and can identify use cases that benefit from an AI/ML approach; experience in scripting languages and implementing AI/ML models preferred.
• Ability to tell stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence, motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations
• Excellent problem solving skills and end to end quantitative thinking
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
• Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues

How you will lead

• Driving Business Strategy: You will collaborate with senior leadership and a variety of analytics teams to ensure we are using the best possible data and evidence to build our growth plans and demand forecasts across multiple lines of business in the Consumer Group. You will guide decisionmaking with an open mind, using judgment and clearly documented assumptions, while considering complex business tradeoffs.
• Using data and insights to influence partners to act: Using your clear understanding of our growth plans, you will identify the most important leading and lagging indicators of performance, design KPIs and build dashboards, and coordinate with other analytics teams to source other key inputs. You will become a trusted business partner to whom many leaders in the organization look to understand the drivers behind current trends and results. Amidst a sea of metrics, you will drive for clear understanding and distill the data into key storylines that identify opportunities and influence teams to act.
• Advancing our forecasting craft with AI: As our business grows, we are seeing more opportunities to leverage AI to expand our impact e.g. through automated real-time triggers, and to extend granularity of forecasts down to individual tax topics. Your experience with AI will enable you to prototype solutions, and work with partners on Product Development and AI teams to implement scalable AI-driven forecast pipelines.
• Delivering best-in-class demand forecasts: While the core deliverable for this role is a demand forecast, it is listed 4th here because we believe the best forecasts emerge from a clear business strategy, solid data and insights, and state of the art forecasting craft. You will be responsible for delivering a forecast that drives $100’s of millions of dollars of investment in hiring, training, and working hours of a variety of specialized expert workforces, and the accuracy of this forecast will ensure we can deliver an awesome on-demand customer experience with minimal waste.
