Join the highly talented QuickBooks Live team as the Portfolio Delivery Leader, responsible for managing our portfolio of Live initiatives, the most complex portfolio in our ecosystem, where you'll lead teams to answer the toughest customer and business challenges within that portfolio while building and constantly improving the systems and structure that enables our ambitious and innovative team to deliver transformational change for our customer and partners.
We are looking for structured, analytical leaders for whom operations is a towering strength, who can land difficult recommendations with senior leaders in highly matrixed organizations, consistently show a bias for action and above all, delight in serving our customers.
What you'll bring
- Experience running or working with service organizations for technology powered human assisted experiences
- 10+ years of experience identifying and addressing key barriers to growth in an environment with high levels of both ambiguity and visibility.
- 5+ years of experience in operations within a fast-moving technology-driven organization
- Track record of aligning disparate teams around a common cause, and effecting transformational change
- Demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, establish operating systems, and lead the delivery of a portfolio of programs/projects
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and ability to both influence and develop strong partnerships at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, including business writing and presentations.
- Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role
- Undergraduate degree in a business, technical, or science discipline required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
How you will lead
- Leverage customer and business acumen to dig deep into data to extract business insights
- Take many swirling critical customer and business questions, and leverage principles to prioritize them
- Create a consistent narrative about our customers and business and build on it over time
- Identify key gaps in ownership and accountability and work with teams to close them
- Understand what matters to our customers and the business, and work with analytics to build out deep reporting capabilities so that we can identify risks early
- Facilitate the creation and drive the execution of the portfolio strategy, identifying the biggest levers to grow the business, translate your strategy into prioritized initiatives that can be delegated or individually owned and executed as missions
- Build and maintain our operating model, which includes accountabilities, structure, governance, and ways of working both internally and with partners
- Provide boundaryless leadership while integrating, partnering, communicating, and influencing across teams, functions, and BUs/organizations
- Drive and communicate the portfolio plan, status, issues and risk to executive stakeholders
- Recommend decisions/trade-offs at the portfolio level and provide options considered, data, recommendations and principles behind the decision process
- Support financial forecasts and KPI reporting; ensure traceability and allocation of initiatives to plan, and help strategize corrective actions where needed
- Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model
- Drive cultural change across the organization to deliver next generation of QuickBooks offerings
