Charter of this team is to:

Deliver an easy-to-use platform that improves application developer productivity

Deliver an easy to manage platform so IKS platform operations team can easily operate and manage the runtime environment for application teams

Provide an extensible platform for partner teams to contribute and extend the capabilities of the IKS platform

What you'll bring

• 3+ years experience developing infrastructure software
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Good understanding of container orchestration and cloud technologies
• Programming experience with any of the following: Go, Python, Object-oriented programming languages
• Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Good understanding of microservices architecture
• Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process
• Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)

Preferred Experience:

• Good understanding of Kubernetes internals
• Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale infrastructure software
• Familiar with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available infrastructure software
• Always Be Learning: Experience with open source technologies. We are contributors of Keikoproj on Github

How you will lead

• Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
• Design and implement proofs of concepts (POC’s), productize components and features.
• Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
• Roughly 70-85% hands-on coding
• Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
• Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
• Contribute to the design and architecture of the project
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
