What you'll bring
- Minimum MS degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline; PhD preferred
- Deep craft expertise in one or more of emerging technologies like conversational user interface, voice interaction, ambient intelligence, mixed reality, distributed ledger and AI/ML
- Played leadership roles in defining and executing strategic growth initiatives in large distributed organizations or in Startup environments with quantified results for customers and the business through constant learning and experimentation
- 15+ years' experience in creative product explorations and development
- Track record of initiating bold provocations and delivering key outcomes
- Have strong external profile with contributions at conferences, public forums
- Published articles and recognized as a technical expert
- Passion for facilitative leadership, collaboration and lead teams across boundaries
- Track record of collaboration and influence recognized as a great partner for the business and technology teams
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated to change the world
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
How you will lead
The Vice President - Technology Futures accelerates durable growth for Intuit by increasing the impact and relevance of Tech Futures projects against our strategy; helping us increase the adoption of more Tech Futures projects, while maintaining the entrepreneurial and experimental nature of the work.
As a key member of the Product Development Senior Management Team, responsible for overall leadership of the Technology Futures Development organization, creating an environment that motivates a bright and technically diverse engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, vision, strategic direction and outside-the-box thinking to create new concepts and generate future growth
- Lead technical discussions and recommendations across Intuit, sharing internally and externally, storage, analytics
- Explore and experiment with new technologies to demonstrate benefits and use cases for adoption
- Innovate new technology and processes to revolutionize the creation and maintenance of dynamic applications
- Participate in cross-company technology initiatives
- Lead a team of deep craft experts building prototypes, platforms and products
- Leverage technical experience to mentor and coach team members
- Use customer obsession to identify and evaluate organic & inorganic opportunities
