    Position summary

    prehensive advanced training programs on our existing and future product portfolio, product enhancements and new indications with a focus for cardiology and surgical products and innovations.

    They are the cardiac and surgical subject matter expert for the APAC clinical field teams and customers, providing on-site resource during cases in OR and/or Cathlab, and participating in customer events such as conferences and educational events throughout APAC. The ACIS will consistently demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

    They will work directly with the Associate Director - Education & Training and the Country Sales Leader to assess educational needs, develop training plans, execute training initiatives for cardiology and surgical products. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to achieve the shared goal of continuously improve patient outcomes, drive therapy adoption and enhancing clinical best practices. The role will also provide routine case support, ICU, OR and CCU Training.

    Additionally, the trainer will update and develop training content to support both internal clinical teams and external healthcare professionals.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Patients First mentality, lead continuous improvement in patient outcomes and drive therapy adoption through training and enhancement of clinical best practices.

    • Develop and execute comprehensive clinical training programs tailored to cardiology and surgical products and therapy for various audiences, including internal clinical teams, and external healthcare professionals.

    • Provide expert clinical support, case coverage and case certification in OR, Cathlab and ICU with cardiology and surgical products.

    • Assist in all product launches and customer training events in cooperation with Global Advanced Clinical and Innovation specialist and cross-functional teams.

    • Conduct onboarding and certification training programs, such as Impella Product Training (IPT) in country as required.

    • Contribute to the design and ongoing improvement of the training and certification programs.

    • Sign off and continuously enhance the knowledge and expertise level of the in country clinical team to ensure execution to the 'Heart Recovery Playbook'

    • Update and modify training materials to ensure actuality with the latest best practices.

    • Commercial partners support: Establish strong relationships with the Impella Commercial Team. Execute quarterly strategy meetings and After Action Reviews, Clinical Outcomes Reviews, IPRs to monitor progress and to ensure continuous learning and improvement. Ensure weekly communication with commercial team and APAC team partners to align & ensure that they meet Abiomed's Global Playbook is closely followed.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, e.g. Perfusionist or specialized Cardiac Nursing with a minimum of 5 years experience.
    • Medical Degree in Cardiology highly preferred
    • Extensive experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/ or ICU/CCU, TAVI.
    • Experience with the Impella heart pump portfolio and other MCS devices
    • Excellent didactic skills with experience in delivering complex content to diverse audiences.
    • Commercial selling skills would be an additional advantage
    • Recognized as a clinical expert with strong self-motivation, flexibility, initiative, results-oriented, open-mindedness, teamwork and approachability.
    • Strong communication skills to discuss products and therapy in an academic environment.
    • Ability to positively influence all levels of management and employees.
    • Viewed as a clinical and product subject matter expert in current role
    • Desire to impact patient outcomes regionally
    • Exhibit effective strategic planning skills
    • Must have a keen sense of prioritization, organization, flexibility, and time management to ensure maximum effectiveness for the benefit of the team.
