    Position summary

    Biosense Webster, Inc. (BWI), a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for  Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) Intern  located in the Kansas City, MO area.

    BWI is the global leader in the science of diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. The introduction of the company’s CARTO® 3 System in 2009 revolutionized 3D mapping technology by increasing the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the cardiac ablation procedure and we continue lead the market with our innovative technology. 

    BWI is recruiting rising seniors (students who expect to graduate May 2024), for internships in our 10 Week ACAS Internship Program. 

    Academic Majors for These Internship Opportunities are:

    Main Duties and Responsibilities
     

    The 2023 ACAS Internship Program will support various projects in the areas of:   

    • Simulated 3D Mapping of Cardia Arrythmias 

    • Biophysics of Ablation 

    • New Product Introduction and Education 

    • Therapy Advancement 

    • Clinical EP Lab Operations 

    A successful candidate will be able to do the following: 

    • Students must be able to provide their own transportation to [LOCATION] and to/from work every day. A housing stipend may be offered to students that meet distance eligibility requirements. 

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future. 

    • Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within their team. 

    • Candidates must adhere to safety and environmental policies and procedures and support department objectives. 

    • Candidates must demonstrate and maintain behavioral standards in line with company standards and policy. 

    The anticipated base pay for this position is $26/hour.  

    ACAS Interns may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit program including health insurance for the duration of the internship.   

    Position Components:  

    Under supervision, general direction, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, the ACAS Intern will:  

    •   Attend all portions of the ACAS Internship training program without exception.  

    • Engage in dialogue with multiple internal and external business partners and stakeholders, and formulate solutions based on dialogue and input gained during training.  

    • Understand the dynamics of an EP lab, including, but not limited to physicians, nurses and technicians, clinical and hospital administrators, and staff.  

    • Drive collaboration and maintain consistent, open lines of communication across the assigned responsibilities with the local team (i.e., intern field trainers, teammates, managers) 

    • Responsible for following all company guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.  

    • Responsible for adhering to company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
