Janssen Research & Development, LLC is part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies. In this role, you will support the development of the RSV Adult Vaccine program within the Infectious Diseases and Vaccines portfolio. In collaboration with the Medical Affairs Director, the Associate Medical Affairs Director will lead key projects to advance program activities. Additionally, the Associate Medical Director will collaborate with colleagues from diverse areas of the organization to identify and address a range of Janssen Vaccine program needs. Your responsibilities will include elements of the following: Partner with cross-functional teams to assemble and communicate program development updates to the relevant team members. Serve as a training resource and partner for the salesforce, speakers bureau, and the MSL team as needed. Work collaboratively to identify cross-functional partner needs and corresponding solutions that impact overall product strategy. Proactively capture insights from internal partners such as the Medical Science Liaison team and Real World Value and Evidence field team to identify gaps in data. Support development of materials and present at advisory boards. Partner with Medical Affairs leadership, Marketing, Health Care Compliance, Medical Information, Regulatory, Communications and Legal to craft compliant disease state and product data dissemination activities in support of the business through the Copy Approval process. Champion and coordinate investigator initiated studies and provides clinical support as required. Cultivate relationships with thought leaders, scientific societies and advocacy groups. Remain current with and contribute to the scientific literature within field of focus. Qualifications Required: A PharmD, MD, or PhD with six years of overall experience. At least 3 years of vaccines or infectious disease experience in an industry Medical or Scientific Affairs role OR similar experience garnered from academic or other research endeavors. Infectious Diseases or Vaccine training and/or experience. Consistent track record in public presentations and external customer interactions. Success working in a team setting. Ability to critically analyze sophisticated topics and distill concisely. Preferred: KOL engagement experience. Vaccine and public health training or experience.
