The MT Supply Chain supports $23 billion USD in Sales, Global Net Inventory of $4 billion, and > 180,000 SKUs (2020 actuals) JOB SUMMARY The Business Process Reengineering Manager, will be responsible to drive transformational process maturity improvements and continuous process improvement within the MT Regional SC & Plan area, aligned to short and long-term business aspirations. In order to do this, he / she will use state of the art lean / six sigma techniques and leverage digital solutions to x-ray processes (process mining) and make recommendations to automate (Intelligent Automation). In addition, this person will play an important role in building the continuous improvement culture and capability within this area. This includes developing a structured approach to make processes more efficient and effective and shape the right performance framework to track the impact of process changes made. This position will report to the MT Business Process Reengineering Director within the Strategy and Digital Transformation team. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The MT Business Process Reengineering Manager is responsible for: Identify & implement opportunities to improve process efficiency and effectiveness (cost, reliability, agility) within the MD Regional SC & Plan area. Identify & deliver on E2E process maturity improvements aligned to the planning blueprints. Establish a clear governance and prioritization process aligned to short- and long-term business objectives. Extensively share and drive proven practice implementation of best practices within the area of responsibility. Conduct benchmarking (internal and external). Strengthen best practice sharing and adoption. Build the Continuous Improvement capability within the MT Regional SC & Plan area. Develop a methodological framework to x-ray and improve processes in a structured way. Shape the process performance measurement framework to measure process effectiveness and impact generated. Maintain & build Six Sigma / LEAN capabilities and community of practice (Green Belts and Black Belts). Partner with JJSC Academy. Create awareness of the hidden supply chain. Establish strong alignment and linkages to partner functions such as J&J Technology (JJT), D&DS, Commercial, Enterprise Supply Chain, & Regional Value Chains. Qualifications Education: Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations or equivalent experience. MBA preferred. Lean and / or six sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent required. APICS certification preferred. Other certifications in areas of expertise desirable Experience Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience working in Supply Chain / Operations to drive business process improvement. Broad experience with proven results in use and deployment of Continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean). Certification (Black Belt level) is required. Experience in the MedTech industry is a plus. Experience working with virtual teams and matrix organizations. Global experience (with multiple countries, regions) and associated cultural awareness preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS Strong consensus management and collaboration skills. Ability to build effective partnering relationships Change agent capable of influencing without direct authority Deep insight and understanding of overall business environment, business acumen, outside orientation and networking capability. Familiarity with all aspects of the supported area, knowing how value is created in the business, understanding the key levers to drive breakthrough improvements. Strong background / experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems is required. Digital acumen required. Strong and methodical process thinker. Ability to oversee the linkage between strategy, dashboards and business processes. Analytical mindset able to challenge business processes and confront areas where breakthrough improvement is possible. Full understanding of metrics and ability to link them to the strategy and process performance. Able to develop engagement and drive business improvements to ensure that projects and programs are implemented well. Ability to give direction on the use of technical, business and process excellence concepts to improve business results. Software skills needed to perform in the job Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist. Clear understanding of external Supply Chain trends, digital technologies and emerging best practices. Understanding of PLAN processes and supporting technologies in other industries. Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and standard process improvement and value creation.
