The Clinical Data Engineer is responsible for expanding and optimizing device data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The Data Engineer will support data managers, statistical programmers, and statisticians on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery for ongoing projects. Must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing our data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Utilize data and process standards in the creation of system deliverables
Expertise in ETL optimization, designing, coding, and tuning big data processes using AWS components or similar technologies
Experience with building data pipelines and applications to stream and process datasets at low latencies
Show efficiency in handling data - tracking data lineage, ensuring data quality, and improving discoverability of data
Sound knowledge of distributed systems and data architecture (lambda)- design and implement batch and web-stream data processing pipelines, knows how to optimize the distribution, partitioning, and MPP (massive parallel processing) of high-level data structures
Knowledge of Engineering and Operational Excellence using standard methodologies
