Jannsen Pharmaceuticals is recruiting for a Director of Global Strategic Marketing for Neurodegeneration, Early Pipeline. The Director, Global Strategic Marketing, Neurodegeneration Early Pipeline will be effective at leveraging the J&J matrix and work cross-sector to lead, develop and execute the global commercial strategy for Neurodegeneration compounds in the early development stage, and play a key role at shaping and informing the Neurodegeneration DAS Portfolio strategy. This position will report to the DAS Commercial Leader, Neurodegeneration. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Be the commercial lead on multiple neurology compound development teams (CDTs) and be a proactive leader working effectively across commercial (Global strategic Marketing, Global Market Access, Global Medical Affairs, BI/CI) and R&D functions (preclinical/clinical development, Regulatory, DPDS) in shaping strong development strategies · Deliver evidence-based, future market-oriented Target Product Profiles (TPPs), and ensure commercial insights and future market dynamics are embedded in the aspirational profiles and the supporting development strategies for transformational solutions designed for modifying, perhaps preventing, neurodegenerative diseases · Effectively manage across the organizational matrix, to lead and influence across functions and sectors to shape highly differentiated products and co-positioning strategies with strong evidence-based value propositions across the neurodegeneration portfolio (AD, PD, epilepsy, others TBD) · Build strong internal and external networks across the regions to obtain global input to inform value proposition of early compounds · Lead early market communication and global market shaping to ensure health ecosystem readiness for future assets and to build Janssen’s leadership and voice in neurology. · Evaluate commercial opportunities and risks across the early development pipeline, and support the development of a robust portfolio strategy for the Neurodegeneration DAS · Support Neurodegeneration DAS efforts in identifying and assessing new business development opportunities Qualifications Education · A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree in business or life sciences is preferred. Experience in Neurology is preferred. Qualifications · A minimum of 10 years of business experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required · The ability to excel in a complex and highly matrixed team environment is critical. Candidate must have demonstrated track record of teamwork, collaboration, and inclusion, and the ability to develop strong business relationships · Demonstrated experience in planning, prioritizing and leading projects and a proven ability to influence without authority is required · Breadth of marketing functional experience preferred, including strategic marketing & in-line marketing, globally oriented roles. · Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills are required, as are the abilities to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategies · Good understanding of science and the pharmaceutical development process to communicate effectively with CDTs across R&D functions · This position is based in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 25% travel, both domestic and international At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
