    ABOUT THIS ROLE:

    Reporting to the Multi Site EHS Lead, the EHS Manager advises the day to day operations in all aspects related to safety and environment. The role ensures effective safety and environmental support and advice to management in the areas of occupational safety, process safety, emergency response management, industrial hygiene, construction safety and all environmental matters.

    This role ensures that operations in all functional areas within the site are carried out according to Irish and EU legislation and J&J expectations and standards for all matters regarding safety and the environment.

    You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS management systems and programs; the active promotion of a strong site environmental awareness and safety culture; the collection, reporting and analysis of key performance indicators; and ensuring appropriate training is provided to all site employees

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures that site systems are in place to maintain 100% compliance with all Irish and EU Regulations, site’s IED licence, & GHG permit and J&J EHS standards.
    • Is responsible for the management, development, implementation and continual improvement of the site EHS Management System.
    • Ensures an effective risk management program is in place.
    • Conducts regular EHS inspections and audits to monitor the effectiveness of the EHS management system.
    • Ensures compilation of appropriate metrics and key performance indicators for both internal & external stakeholders & regulatory agencies.
    • Provides EHS support to the Management of Change process, ensuring all changes are adequately assessed.
    • Maintains waste management requirements and environmental monitoring programme in line with license requirements.
    • Leads the Emergency Response Programme ensuring that resources, equipment, procedures and training are in place to deal with all likely emergency scenarios.
    • Primary contact with all external regulators (HSA, EPA), ensuring a good and effective working relationship is maintained at all times between the Company and the Agencies.
    • Acts as primary site contact with J&J Global EHS ensuring all Corporate EHS requirements are implemented and actioned effectively on site.
    • Facilitates all EHS audits (HSA, EPA, Corporate EHS, ISO 14001)
    • Ensures ongoing evaluation of changes in EHS Regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborates with site leadership to ensure alignment on EHS strategy, objectives & targets
    • Manages EHS budget
    • Leads & coaches the site EHS team ensuring they have ongoing training and development plans
    • Member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).
