    EMEA CFM Lead

    Job Profile Summary

    The EMEA CFM Lead is a key business partner to BUF in the Region, playing a critical role, from controllership perspective, on the accounting integrity and reasonability. This CFM Director is responsible for accounting controllership services for Medtech, Innovative Medicine and One Vision in EMEA with direct support to 2 Commercial CFOs and the whole FDs network across the Region. The role is highly visible as it supports all commercial business, approximately $20B in NTS. The CFM Director is the lead authority on the actuals, is passionate about business understanding and cross-process coordination of the (US GAAP) BRAVO financial results for External Reporting, and drives balanced collaboration with Business Unit Finance, including FP&A, Corporate Services, A&D, and Global Services Finance. The CFM Director provides trusted business partners, across all levels, with the crucial Controllership Services that enable transformations, sustain E2E accounting oversight, and influence financial decisions. Through special projects, such as SigniFi, this role is at the forefront of influencing next-generation technology, providing support to cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions that address Financial Reporting compliance and business needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible of delivering timely, compliant, and accurate financial statements under USGAAP of J&J business in EMEA (IM, MedTech, One Vision)

    • Ensure processes remain compliant, meeting all quality, statutory, regulatory and SOX 404 requirements.

    • Partnering with BUF, including FP&A, and other finance stakeholders to influence financial decisions from the accounting perspective.

    • Provide strategic direction to team, build expertise and a 'can-do' attitude within the CFM team, empower, and hold the team accountable to understand the financials and collaborate effectively with the business units, driving continuous improvement in all processes.

    • Collaborate with all other A2R process and GSF teams to ensure end to end accounting are as streamlined and standardized as possible, continually improving service performance, driving efficient delivery of results and metrics to ensure effective execution of delivery of the financials

    • Lead change management network for GSF EMEA of various tech and process initiatives like SigniFi and Transcend

    Talent Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop high-performing team of 50+ direct and indirect reports across Prague and other EMEA countries

    • Be the GSF-A2R representative in EMEA region, participating in forums such as GS Leadership Team and Talent Councils, strengthening the talent pipeline and promoting talent development.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's / University degree is required, preferably with a major in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or Accounting. MBA or similar diploma is a plus
    • Minimum of 15 Years of related experience in finance, including accounting processes, continuous improvement as well as transformation programs
    • Business acumen is needed
    • Experience in direct team management, managing internal relationships, coaching and collaboration skills, with leaders at all levels and key stakeholders required.
    • The ability to develop high performing teams and lead in a matrixed environment is required.
    • Effective and strong partnership and relationship building skills with key stakeholders.
    • Effective communication and strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audience.
    • Must have a collaborative approach, the ability to connect, and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
    • SAP S/4 experience preferred and familiarity with systems landscapes and other ERPs
    • English proficiency required. Other languages is a plus
    • This position may require up to 15% domestic and/or international travel.
