    About this role:

    DePuy Synthes (DPS) is recruiting for an Engineering Innovation Manager within the Joints Engineering Supply Chain team.   This role will be located in Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN; Cork, Ireland; Suzhou, China; Blackpool/ Leeds, UK.  Additional locations within commutable distance of a US Johnson and Johnson DePuy-Synthes (DPS) facility may be considered.

    This role involves overall responsibilities as a Global IM LT member and Global responsibility for IM for the JOINTS, which includes:

    • Support the management and development of the DePuy Synthes MAKE Supply Chain Portfolio
    • Partner closely with key End-2-End and functional supply chain leaders to ensure execution to key strategic programs and projects
    • Drive the development, education & training of portfolio prioritization activities
    • Elevate portfolio, program, and project management capabilities across the DePuy Synthes Supply Chain
    • Deploy data visualization solutions to drive greater portfolio transparency and execution to strategic priorities. Use project/portfolio data to ensure optimal deployment of capital and resource management
    • Lead global management, development, deployment, and integration of the Continuous Improvement and Innovation (CI2) process, which provides a structured framework to generate and transform ideas into executable projects.
    • Planisware adoption and maintenance for managing project and portfolio data, providing a management tracking and reporting system, enabling data mining and report generation.
    • Execute monthly reporting and consolidation of project financial performance with a focus on ensuring financial targets are met
    • Global responsibility for managing capital spend and attainment of value improvement targets for the Manufacturing organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the JOINTS Innovation Management team and drive a high performing team through the development of exceptional talent, enhancement of core technical skills and knowledge to support future growth
    • Develop compelling career progression paths & development plans for each team member.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the team.
    • Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance against them, to ensure delivery of exceptional performance to internal and external customers.
    • Support the performance management process and completion of appraisals, mid-year reviews and development conversations in a timely manner. Provide timely and honest feedback on performance even in difficult situations.
    • Establish plans for talent development, diversification, and professional development for team.
    • Global IM Workstream Leader and Core Team member for IM key strategic projects.
    • Global owner of innovation management metrics, including capital spend and value improvement pipeline performance.
    • Global deployment and management of CI2 tools, templates and methodology.
    • Global l adoption of feasibility process, project prioritization process, risk assessment and resource management.
    • Global-level implementation and support of CI2 Innovation Management governance.
    • Global owner of CI2 idea generation events to create a pipeline to drive innovation and improvements including documentation process.
    • Ensure consistent Global adoption of Planisware for management of projects and portfolio data.
    • Responsible for the Global deployment and integration of FPX project management methodology to support the execution of projects across the innovation lifecycle.
    • Identification of opportunities to enhance the CI2 process through leveraging current systems and harnessing networks across the cluster and J&J.
    • Adoption of Technology Road mapping in support of strategic planning initiatives.
    • Support training and advocacy to drive system adoption at Global level to ensure appropriate Data Accuracy and transparency. e.g. Instantis, Ci2 dashboard, Innovate etc.
