In this role you will be working with our innovative medications in their current and future indications as well as with our pipeline products, covering a broad range of both prevalent and rare autoimmune diseases. As Field Medical Advisor you will be our scientific and medical specialist and work closely with the Norwegian leading physicians in the relevant therapeutic areas. In addition to scientific exchange with our customers you also have critical role in leading the medical education and evidence generation planning and execution in Norway. The Medical Advisor position is titled as Field Medical Advisor internally at Janssen. As Field Medical Advisor you will be a key member of the Norwegian cross-functional teams in the Janssen Norway country organization. You are also part of a strong network within the Therapeutic Areas across Janssen in the Nordics and EMEA. The position is based in Norway (preferably Oslo area) and reports directly to the Country Medical Lead. The position will require travel, mostly within Norway, up to 1-2 days/week in addition to occasional longer congress travel. Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities of a Field Medical Advisor Develop and maintain a network with leading specialist physicians with a particular focus on understanding their needs, key value drivers, and practical treatment patterns, as well as championing the medical value of own products. Communicate medical scientific data to leading specialists and broader external health care related audience, both proactively and reactively. Gain valuable insights into treatment patterns and scientific activities in the therapeutic area through scientific interactions and provide strategic input to the medical affairs plan and business decision-making. Develop, coordinate and participate in medical education activities, e.g. identify, support, and educate speakers as well as build medical education programs with scientific third parties. Provide medical input to cross-functional communication and action plans, support material generation and approvals seeking to improve use of multi-channel communication with our customers. Lead the medical training of the internal cross-functional team. Lead local evidence generation programs in collaboration with the market access team. Support the market access team in medical and scientific input to HTA submissions as applicable. Qualifications Qualifications Education: A Minimum of bachelor’s degree in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences or equivalent (required). PhD in life sciences is a merit. Experience and Skills: Required: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (required). Valid driver’s license and ability to accommodate business travel (required). Proficiency in Norwegian and English language, verbal and written. Preferred: A minimum of 2 years proven industry experience in a medical or scientific role (preferred). Experience within the immunology field. Either through education, research or from industry. Healthcare, pharmaceutical or similar industry experience (preferred). Other: To Be Successful In This Role We are looking for a clear and strong communicator able to make complex scientific advances understandable to external and internal audiences. You have a strong dedication to build value for the Oncology community. You need to be naturally inclined to perform work with care, accuracy and attention to details and carry out to directions, policies, and legal guidelines. You will need to be able to absorb, understand and communicate complex and often large amounts of data within short deadlines. You should be curious and eager to continuously expand your knowledge within the therapeutic area. The candidate is encouraged to have focus on getting results in the light of a dynamic and sophisticated partner landscape and optimally tackle problems by continuously searching for areas to improve and innovate. We are looking for a person with strong networking skills. We are constantly building strong networks within the scientific innovation ecosystem and your strong strategic and scientific skills will be developed when building relations with new and existing partners. Experience from medical affairs work within pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.
