GMED is the largest holder of inventory within MedTech sector of J&J: it buys products from J&J Sourcing companies around the world, stores the inventory in the European Distribution Center and Satellite warehouses, and ships to affiliates and end customers globally. GMED forms part of MedTech PIC COE (Principal, Inventory and Costing -Center of Excellence). This management position within the GMED Finance Team leads Account to Report (A2R) activities and reports to GMED Senior Finance Manager to ensure all Corporate Reporting & Statutory reporting requirements are met. The position requires strong collaboration with other GMED Finance Groups, FP&A team, Tax, GS Team & Regional Finance, local distribution center management as well as external consultants and auditors. It is a key role which provides a phenomenal opportunity to consolidate financial and compliance knowledge and talent development. As GMED is going through a several groundbreaking projects which will shape the region's platform over the next few years. Therefore, this role will require a continuous improvement focus, as well as strong relationships building, teamwork and organizational change abilities. What are the main responsibilities? Prepare and review Fixed Asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, period end closing, Journal entry postings, equity accounting, netting process, banks and cash flow. Lead charge in/out process and support initiatives for optimization that are aligned with GMED tax ruling model. Review accounting processes / standard procedures, to identify and implement Best-in-Class practices to drive operational efficiencies in accounting processes, and continuous improvements/alignment. Maintain compliance with GMED operating model and tax ruling. Perform all accounting responsibilities in line with compliance and audit guidelines, in a timely manner and deliver quarterly and annual corporate and statutory reports. Handle relationship and requirements from internal and external auditors and ensure SOX Compliance for the entity. Partner with FP&A team to report accurate and timely financial results. Qualifications Who are we looking for! University/Bachelors’ Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Economics 6 yrs minimum of relevant finance experience in some areas as accounting, budgeting, or SC Finance. 2+ years of people management experience Proven understanding of accounting principles, concepts and compliance policies and procedures (e.g. WWP & ICH, SOX 404) Strong Excel Skills and the ability to make sound recommendations based upon analysis of data sets Excellent written and oral communication skills Languages: Fluency in English, Dutch is an advantage Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
