The SC Vision Costing manager is part of the Vision Principal, Inventory & Costing (PIC) team which is responsible for reporting and forecasting WW Vision inventory, standard cost setting and all the components of intercompany profit (incl Fx management, tax support, transfer pricing, profit elimination & system income).

The SC Vision Costing manager will ensure that financial transactions, financial statements relating to costing processes for all SC Vision entities are accurate and compliant with J&J WWP. It is critical that this manager is able to lead an international team that forges strong networks/partnerships with business partners. The role will be responsible for supervision and development of a global finance team across multiple sites.

Process responsibilities:

• Lead Financial Management activities including:

  • Ensure that close responsibilities occur timely, accurately, and in accordance with SOX requirements, J&J World Wide Procedures and Internal Control Handbook
  • Complete month end close including review and approval of OCNIS, FAA postings & related BS reconciliations
  • Support team with variance tracking & capturing BUF SC Finance commentary
  • Forecast P&L impacts for business plan cycles, latest thinking and explain variances
  • Quarterly reviews with key supply chain & finance business partners

• Ownership of both Interim and Annual Standard Setting processes which includes the creating of the annual standard setting calendar and leading the cross functional team to ensure all deadlines are met.

  • Define key components of std costs and how std costs are calculated
  • Lead the reconciliation process for Finance Planning volumes
  • Build & Run - Plant Allocations for Cost Center Budgets // Activity rates
  • Review & approve costing runs for reasonableness

• Lead continuous improvement and drive consistency in the standard cost setting process for the Vision business units:

  • Drive consistent tracking of manufacturing costing variances in driver based BvA across the Vision franchises.
  • Build E2E learning organization by capturing insights from variances to improve next planning & standard cost setting cycle.
  • Drive execution & support implementation of new standardized processes for the Supply Chain Finance PIC organization.
