Formulations Engineering Technician III

Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Formulations Engineering Tech III, located in Jacksonville, FL!

This role contributes to Formulation's equipment operational status, process analysis, emergency troubleshooting and repair, continuous improvement projects and PM maintenance. You will be assisting in developing scope, project plans, timelines, and resource requirements for groundbreaking projects in Monomer Preparation, DI Water Systems, and Solvent Tank Farm! You will provide transparent support for continuous process, controls, equipment, and technology improvement. There will be opportunities to partner with multi-functional teams (vendors, contractors, technicians, quality engineers, regulatory specialists, corporate SMEs, etc.) to achieve and exceed departmental goals. You will actively collaborate with other supply chain organizations to provide for project implementation and resource support. You will also have the opportunity to provide recommendations on department equipment and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support for all equipment within the Formulations Department including maintenance and repair on existing controls and electro/mechanical equipment.
• Assists engineer in identifying, planning, and implementing major projects involving process and equipment improvement.
• Participates in solving equipment, systems, and process problems to prevent the occurrence of product nonconformity or manufacturing downtime.
• Recommends equipment changes that improve operation, maintainability, and yield under the direction of the Staff Engineer / Manager
• Participate in preparation of project related documentation such as system validation, operational procedures, HECPs, SOPs, JSAs, and other procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
