Our Development Team Leader is responsible for leading new product development efforts from concept to full scale manufacturing & product launch for assembly and component processing within the Endomechanical franchise. This role is uniquely designed as both a people leader and individual contributor that result in improved surgical technologies being launched in the market. This Development Leader will be leading activities on a new innovation that for the Endomechanical Franchise; the programs associated with this product must meet quality targets, cost reduction/ margin improvement goals and supply needs. This R&D leader will need to own manufacturing (assembly) unit operations and components processing technologies to meet user & technical requirements To be successful in this role, an individual must possess: in depth understanding of fundamental engineering principles and theories to resolve technical challenges; excellent engagement skills to serve as a key leader in project team; passion for health care and medical device technologies; the ability to translate business/customer needs into process engineering solutions and develop outstanding capabilities in DFX and component production. Lead R&D Development resources dedicated to our new innovation. Seamlessly collaborate with all R&D functions as well as multi-functional resources to bring full-scale production solutions to market. Serve as Development Engineering leader and provide functional management. Be the Voice of Development Engineering within the NPD team. Grow and develop people. Mentor and coach individuals to drive stronger business objectives. Nurture technical mastery, critical thinking and problem solving. Drive rigor and excellence in the DFX strategy for the project resulting in a flawless delivery. Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering required 10+ years of proven experience in a dynamic R&D environment with emphasis on new product innovation, scale-up and production line validation. Experience in senior engineering positions preferred. Minimum of 3 years of people managerial responsibilities is required Must have proven track record of inspiring individuals and teams to lead scale-up of device components and assembly unit operations Excellent communication, teamwork and influencing skills.
