Janssen Research and Development is a leading pharmaceutical company in the United States, with a focus on innovation on some of the most devastating diseases and the most complex medical challenges of our time, across five therapeutic areas: Cardiovascular & Metabolism, Immunology, Infectious Diseases & Vaccines, Neuroscience, and Oncology. The Janssen portfolio of pharmaceutical products also includes a large number of legacy products which are managed within the Established Products group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Global Strategy & Product Management Co-op will lead strategic and operational initiatives within the Established Products (EP) group. This includes:
Gain an organizational understanding of J&J, Janssen, GMO and Established Products.
Gain understanding of the EP groups in the context of the matrix cross functional & cross regional organization.
Assess and gain a sound understanding of the projects assigned
Ensure understanding of key initiatives within the portfolio that would require input, including but limited to:
Portfolio analysis and insight generation
EP integrated information Network (EPiiN) tool development, including visualization and database development
Transition of LMD database into EP and development of new search interface
Management of new SharePoint site
Artificial Intelligence projects for the development of Clinical Overviews.
Execution of EP Communications strategy (i.e. EP identity, tools, news)
Join and participate in relevant meetings, including for EPiiN, AI, WRApp, Communications, SharePoint maintenance as well as workstream specific discussions and meetings as needed.
EDUCATION:
Upper-classman or hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline is required.
Be enrolled in an advanced program. (MBA, Organizational Management, Six Sigma Program, Advanced Analytics) (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
REQUIRED:
Excellent analytical, investigational and organizational skills to identify potential gaps and develop final strategic approaches
This individual must have project management experience in order to manage complex projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with key team members, colleagues and management.
This position is in Spring House, PA or Titusville, NJ and requires a commute to that location daily.
PREFERRED:
Analytical know-how and experience in process improvement, technology implementation and change management.
Previous work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of the clinical trial development Process (Phase I –IV).
Hold an advanced degree in a related discipline
Leverage experience and coursework to provide insights and recommendations on key projects.
In partnership with Business Unit IT Lead and other partners, oversee ongoing and new development opportunities to enhance EP’s digital solutions, including portfolio databases, communication platforms, and workflow tools.
Focus on developing technical, business, and leadership skills through direct involvement in EP initiatives and regular interactions with the wider EP Community.
Candidate will have direct mentoring and guidance from the Strategy and Operations Support Lead having over 20 years of J&J experience in R&D, Corporate Development, Business Development, and Portfolio Management.
