    Position summary

    Position Purpose

    • Develop and deliver a strategy to execute critical market research activities, business performance tracking, customer engagement activities with sales excellence leveraging digital / data science capability to provide strong customer interface activities across all business units in Janssen Japan.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Manages the development and execution of strategic marketing research activities needed to achieve financial objectives. Identifies, prioritizes, directs, and executes key projects, programs, and initiatives outlined within the business plan. Develops and approves refinements to the plan in response to changing business and competitive conditions/needs.
    • Ensures timely and appropriate input from a wide range of stakeholders and functions including finance, marketing, business development, and health economics and pricing. The role may be partner with R&D to provide commercial input into commercial development teams.
    • Evaluates and derives high level marketing and sales tactics and insights from complex market access research. Works collaboratively across the organization to cull marketing research information, and to strengthen marketing research benchmark data.
    • Develop and implement local customer engagement strategy by working with various cross-functional leaders at various levels of the organization to identify our organization needs.
    • Lead change management initiatives to strengthen the customer interface activities including sales training/ excellence and incentive schemes.
    • Oversee the integration of new customer engagement approaches and “go-to-market” models into the capability building programs through omni-channel customer engagement and digital capabilities.
    • Provides credo-based leadership, influence without authority, and inspires others in the strategic vision of the organization.
    • Drive a talent focus within the commercial excellence division, attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
    • Lead JPKK wide initiatives as an active member of Japan Management Committee.

    Key Working Relationships

    Identify the most important working relationships with people inside and outside the company including customers, vendors, associations, etc.

    Internal:

    • President of Janssen Japan
    • Business Unit Head and members of management committee in Japan
    • Regional Commercial Excellence team and relevant regional / global stakeholders
    • Other commercial organizations (e.g. Medical Affairs, Integrated Market Access) in local OpCo
    • Functional leaders, including all non-commercial functions and not limited only to Finance, HR

    External:

    • Relevant HCP professional groups / customers
