IT Lead, Res & Lab Platforms The Res & Lab Platforms IT Lead plays a critical role in solution delivery for research and laboratory related informatic systems. In close collaboration with product manager, engineers and delivery leader, the IT Lead is responsible for evaluating and fine tuning the technical stack and manage technical deliverables either through vendor solutions or in house development. He/She will also develop strong relationships with JJT technology services and leverage the enterprise tools and capabilities to elevate the R&D technology product delivery. He/She will play an integral role in transforming Janssen R&D informatic capability. The position is within the department R&D Business technology, DPDS BT. Capability delivery: Evaluate and determine the technical stack of potential vendor solutions Assess and determine technical path for system integration needs Translate functionality requirements to actionable technical tasks Perform technical scrum duties with developers to ensure timely project delivery Manage offshore contracting technical resources Benefit from JJT technology capabilities and services Coordinate with project manager, SQA, Testers, Developers, Release management team and Business for Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment Perform software ownership related responsibilities Perform software ownership related responsibilities Participate in capability roadmap development Responsible for a subset of project management activities such as MVP design and sprint planning Provide critical technical remedies to speed up the fix for critical tasks when warranted Qualifications Qualifications: One of the following technical expertise is required: Firsthand programming experience on common languages such as Java, Python, HTML, JavaScript, Angular Frameworks Firsthand cloud engineering experience such as AWS, Azure, Data lake Firsthand data base experiences such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, NOSQL Familiarity with DevOps such as Chef, Docker Combination of Technical and Scrum/Project management skills Experience with agile tools such as JIRA / Bitbucket Excellent communication skills BS in Programming, Computer Sciences, or Engineering 5-year software development or pharma R&D IT experience General knowledge on MS and/or Linux systems General knowledge of drug discovery process Pharma R&D data management system implementation experience such as Electronic Lab Notebooks, Laboratory Information Management/Lab Execution Systems Structured or unstructured data bases The role is based in Beerse, Belgium or Leiden, Netherlands Primary Location Belgium-Antwerp-Beerse- Other Locations Europe/Middle East/Africa-Netherlands Organization Janssen Pharmaceutica N.V.
