MEDICAL AFFAIRS MANAGER Location: Budapest, Hungary Contract: full time To develop and implement medical education strategy concerning specific therapeutic areas on behalf of Janssen, which is to provide an opportunity for professionals working in the health service to make informed decisions in patient care and in the therapeutic areas of strategic importance for the company. To provide professional medical support for all activities of Janssen where medical competence is required. Support for the ongoing professional training of promoters of medicine (Sales/Key Account Representatives). Organisation and implementation of non-interventional clinical studies, patient support programs, support RWE studies from medical scientific perspective. Comprehensive knowledge of the specific therapeutic area, keeping abreast of the scientific literature. The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have: develop and implement TA related medical education strategy based on the CE input; planning and control of the budget of medical affairs/education for the ther area; gain information from HCPs and sales and marketing on HCP’s therapeutic area related medical education/affairs needs; organization of local events for medical education; selection of KOLs who could gain knowledge from international events of medical education where high-level information exchange can be expected; document all medical activities and customer requests in iConnect according to requirements; drafting educational materials both for HCPs and for patients (in collaboration with PA&E) as required, in association with a third party (for example, agencies of medical education, logistics and event organisers); coordination of the implementation of Risk Management Plans prescribed by the authorities, in close collaboration with the Regulatory Manager; transferring approved educational materials concerning therapeutic area to health care specialists in a face-to-face environment or during meetings; collaboration with the CE medical lead of the therapeutic area and the local managers from different departments; review of applications for charitable contribution/medical education grant and the documentation of congress participation applications, completing the relevant forms and/or iConnect processes; providing a liaison point for accessing the CE level medical education activities/materials; harmonisation of centralised materials in accordance with local medical education requirements and local regulations; pro-active medical, professional support for marketing/sales/HEMAR/PA&E employees at high level; searching for and supply of scientific literature, scientific materials/articles/data upon request from professionals; delivering therapeutic area related, balanced presentations on medical issues to specialists (advisory board); review of promotional and medical materials from medical point of view (source, data accuracy; adequacy, objectivity, relevance) according to SOPs organisation, coordination and supervision of the patients’ therapy assisting/compliance programs; providing continuous co-operation with local GCO in the given therapeutic fields; up-to-date knowledge of the therapeutic field relevant for the products he/she is responsible for, conveying scientific knowledge towards the marketing/sales force; professional revision of local language translations of summaries of product characteristics; review of the medical content of market research; providing a medical background for reimbursement applications; organising non-interventional clinical studies in collaboration with CRO, close co-operation with the local GCO and international MAF organisations in selecting sites for the clinical studies; medical information –answering questions received in connection with the products, including the congress medinfo booth; closely cooperates with commercial, HEMAR and PA&E colleges Qualifications We would love to hear from YOU, if you have: comprehensive knowledge of and experience in medicine and the pharmaceutical industry; up-to-date knowledge of the professional field, products and competitors in connection with the company's products; clear understanding of therapeutic area strategy; knowledge of the opinion leaders and the professional organisations of the therapeutic field; knowledge of external and internal regulations and requirements concerning clinical studies; knowledge of the relevant international, local and corporate regulations, procedures; knowledge of the ethical rules and laws; compliance with laws, regulations, high level of ethical standards in business; conformity to the rules; integrity based decision making ability to multi-task; work under pressure; fluent English and Hungarian knowledge of both spoken and written; good computer skills; compliant driver. achievement and result-oriented thinking; strong customer focus and service oriented personality; ability to achieve goals in matrix organization; proactive attitude; sense of urgency; open for innovations; open for changes; systematic and structured approach; good communication and presentation skills; This is what awaits YOU at J&J: An opportunity to be part of a global market leader.
