    Position summary

    Ethicon Inc. (6045) is currently recruiting for a NABS Braid Flow Lead Operator to be located in our Cornelia, GA site.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for using equipment for the assembly and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

    1. Cross-train on all jobs in department based on business needs and can fill in for associates as needed.
    2. Train personnel in area.
    3. Coordinate and lead day-to-day activities in the production manufacturing area as necessary, in alignment with immediate or direct supervisor.
    4. Responsible for weekly staffing plan.
    5. Responsible for delivering department’s daily shift out-put for assigned shift.
    6. Monitor assigned area and reallocate resources as necessary to meet schedule requirements within the department.
    7. Report to Facilitator or Manufacturing Manager any associate who is not behaving in accordance with the J&J established policies.
    8. Demonstrate leadership by delegating work of others, gather information, and complete reports as requested.
    9. Demonstrates leadership by assisting in the hiring and review process, help schedule overtime, work assignments, and vacations, move associates to level workloads and meet daily production requirements.
    10. Demonstrates leadership qualities.  Create and actively pursue a team-based, non-threatening environment designed to promote teamwork and open exchange of ideas.
    11. Leads Cross-over meeting and ensures cross shift participation.  Frequently identify and communicate progress and areas of improvement to team members.
    12. Responsible for schedule attainment.
    13. Collaborate with Facilitator on all department performance and operator issues, coordinating priorities with other shift Leads.
    14. Oversee and coach associates through basic performance problems.
    15. Ensures that employees within shift are adhering to GMPs, GDPs, and acting in accordance to their process specifications.
    16. Responsible for training adherence for the shift.
    17. Escalates any major safety, quality or equipment downtime situation to the Shift Line Facilitator or the Manufacturing Manager as applicable.
    18. Promotes a safety focused culture and the Good Saves program within his Shift.
    19. Responsible for ensuring sustainability of the 6S program.
    20. Responsible for weekly/quarterly required cleaning of the area.
    21. Responsible for maintaining all assigned work areas safe, clean, and in good operating condition.
    22. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
    23. Support projects and validations as needed.
    24. Support others in troubleshooting equipment issues.
    25. Provides recommendations and opportunities for OEE improvements.
    26. Opens work orders if repairs are required in the facilities or the equipment.
    27. Demonstrates consistently effective job performance that encompasses good quality and quantity of work, and dependability.
    28. Communicates problems and potential solutions to supervisor, technician, engineer and incoming production shifts.
    29. Demonstrates ability to manage complexity.
    30. Promotes innovation and continuous learning to other associates.
    31. Order Raw Materials to warehouse as needed.
    32.  Ability to determine Camstar related issues and correct when applicable.
    33. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
    34. For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
    35. Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
    36. Performs other duties assigned as needed
