This position is responsible for providing superior customer service and support to internal and external business partners at DePuy Synthes franchises (https://e.g., sales consultants, sales/commercial operations and supply chain team members, etc.) in a professional, timely and self-directed manner. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple direct-market, staffed sites, managing the associated budgets and supporting $2 billion in sales from the US Field Logistics Network. Responsible for developing multiple site-based staff teams that collaborate with local sales teams to provide warehousing/distribution and coordinate the transport of goods (carrier, courier and/or dedicated drivers). This position will interface directly with the commercial operations teams on inventory management initiatives and engage with the sales force on new product launches and pilot programs to drive business growth. This position requires full knowledge of each operating company’s policies and procedures. Must possess high-level multi-tasking and organizational skills, along with the ability to provide strong leadership remotely. Role Highlights Responsible for oversight of multiple direct-market sites with varying headcount support. Responsible for supporting multiple Depuy Synthes Operating Companies. Provide either direct management and/or guidance towards appropriate Johnson & Johnson tools for situation support or resolution. Drives standard approach for measurement and delivering Global Orthopedics with a focus on MedTech. Works closely with peers to drive standardization and improvement across the final mile network Teams directly with commercial operations team to support quality, service, and cost goals. Pilots and implements new strategies to improve customer service and adjusts to market needs. Project Manage local & national Last Mile Initiatives Teams closely with E2E supply chain to achieve service, compliance, and cost objectives Leads the expansion of sites on as needed basis. Implements Lean and/or JJOS in transactional and program management where applicable Operations Manager must demonstrate: Strong business knowledge, technical skills and sound judgment to effectively assess risk, develop contingencies and determine when to escalate issues Cultivate collaborative partnerships across all functions to drive project execution Process oriented with an unrelenting drive for continuous improvement Demonstrates a clear bias for action and sense of urgency and will hold themselves accountable for flawless execution Drive a culture of diversity and inclusion Ability to be flexible and agile to meet daily, varying demands of field network Ability to engage with internal and external partners Principal Responsibilities: Define key tasks or activities and indicate percentage of time required to perform each task. Operations MANAGEMENT Provide guidance and coordination support for field operations documentation including: dashboards, scorecards, resource models, presentations and charters People Leadership Regular engagement with sites managing diverse tactical needs combined with strategic programs within the Logistics Orthopedic organization. (Additional responsibilities) Staff Meetings Project Management Town hall and deliver meetings One-on-ones Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE BA/BS Supply Chain A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience and experience in Operations Management or Supply Chain Experience working in a highly matrixed organization is critical for success Strong business acumen and understanding of the end to end supply chain Strong analytical skills and the ability to interact with and lead cross-functional teams Customer-centric mindset Strong collaboration skills and able to influence without authority Must possess excellent presentation skills including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 7 Years of Last Mile US Medical Device experience focused on Orthopedics Hands on experience in both medical device operations and last mile distribution Demonstrated success interfacing with customers and sales Strong project management experience PMP or other project management certification or equivalent experience Knowledge of LEAN/SIX SIGMA/JJOS methodologies Understanding of compliance and regulatory environment EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL INTERACTIONS External interactions may include customers, government agencies, industry partners, third-party distribution Internal interactions may include commercial partners, regional based supply chain leaders, Quality, logistics partners, Deliver employees, support functions (HR, IT, Finance), Transportation organization, Customer Service organization and Distribution Organizations, etc. At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
