    Position summary

    The Premium Practice Specialist (PPS) drives customer value with all Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision (JJSV) Premium Technologies (Premium IOLs, LOIs, Key-Cards, Patient Interface). This position plays a critical part in the long-term success of accounts after the adoption of premium lenses or the installation of a Catalys or Refractive Suite, by concentrating on post-sales support and increasing volume and adoption. In addition to serving as the lead for practice education/promotion of Premium technologies, this position plays a major role in customer retention, satisfaction, and add-on sales. This position works in collaboration with Account Executives, Key Account Executives, and the Capital Sales Specialists team and is supported by the District Manager & Director in helping develop strategies to gain new Premium customers.

    Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

    The position reports directly to the District Business Manager. Must be able to build meaningful relationships with both internal & external stakeholders. Excellent computer skills with efficient use of Excel, MS-Word and PowerPoint. The ability to create and edit large scale PowerPoint presentations are a must. Position will interface with Physicians/Administrators/Nurse Managers and Purchasing and be expected to understand all aspects of cross departmental selling. The PPS should have a broad understanding of Premium Technologies (Premium IOLs, LOIs, Key-Cards, Patient Interface), practice adoption concepts, and the ability to work well within diverse settings (Practice, ASCs, and Meetings). Organized and reliable: able to work independently and make decisions based on data & facts.

    Travel – 40-50%

    Main areas of responsibility:

    • Works closely with the District Business Manager & fellow JJSV Capital Sales Specialists to maximize efforts to identify new customers, maintain existing customers, address outstanding customer needs and provide feedback for improvement.
    • Leverages internal/external resources to gain access, build relationships and solve problems resulting in product usage and growth. Grow adoption and penetration of Full Premium portfolio (IOL,LOI,Lasik)
    • Achieves sales goals and focus on key product categories
    • Delivers proactive customer contact strategy to drive adoption of Premium Technologies
    • Increases customer satisfaction by understanding customer business needs and implementing programs to drive adoption/education of JJSV Premium products.
    • Education of OD referral sources on premium products
    • Monitors and tracks expected vs. actual product usage.
    • Provides overflow support for Application Support Managers (training).
    • When needed, attends Trade Shows and meetings (e.g. AAO, ASCRS, etc.) throughout the year
    • Resource to doctors, patient counselors and staff on the patient experience from pre-clinic to post op visit.
    • Resource to team members on biometry and optics
    • Joint accountability for inventory management of Premium IOLs in targeted accounts
    • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
