    Production Maintenance Supervisor

    This is a leadership position in the Maintenance organization. It includes production maintenance responsibilities for Raynham Operations to include Orthopedics Manufacturing, Tool Room, and the Bridgewater Distribution Operation.

    The Supervisor Production Maintenance directs the operations of the maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This position plans, designs, leads and supports the installation, startup, alteration, maintenance and asset management strategy of equipment, machinery and infrastructure directly supporting manufacturing. This position will maintain equipment uptime to support business demands, identify and drive process improvement initiatives, and support talent development, while maintaining a high level of safety, quality and compliance. Work with team members to establish relevant departmental goals and objectives that align with site strategy and identify appropriate key performance metrics and track progress in each area. This position will lead and facilitate process improvements and resolve the technical issues which may impact production. Assist in the formulation and development of long-term asset reliability strategy. Collaborate on the identification and implementation of capital project(s) which support process improvement and advanced manufacturing capabilities. This position works closely with the Engineering, Operations, Quality, Planning, EHS, Facilities, Process Excellence and Human Resources in all aspects of plant operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Exercise direct management for production maintenance activities with respect to meeting preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment enhancements targets and goals and leading all aspects of performance management.
    • Develop and track key performance metrics
    • Establishes, communicates, and manages work schedules to meet system demands and business objectives
    • Supervises, mentors, develops, evaluates, and coaches staff.
    • Implements performance improvement plans as needed.
    • Provides guidance to and manages departmental budget.
    • Reviews expenses and implements cost controls to ensure spending is on track
    • Obtains and evaluates bids from vendors and establishes key service contracts.
    • Interprets Company policies to staff and implements all required regulations.
    • Supplies guidance to department policies and processes.
    • Lead production maintenance activities according to ISO 13485 and FDA QSR Part 820 requirements
    • Directly support internal and external audits and develops corrective actions for non-conformance issues identified.
    • Maintain compliance with company policy, Quality System Regulations and Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability Performance Standards.
    • Supports the site leadership team with developing the site’s strategy, and shared goals and objectives for the plant
    • Ensures the production maintenance staff receives the proper education and training on quality, safety, environmental and maintenance procedures.
    • Cultivate a team environment within the departments and throughout the area value streams.
    • Supports/participates in continuous improvement/lean projects to drive operational efficiency
    • Accountable for meeting objectives and taking an active role in continuous improvement activities leading to increased manufacturing reliability.
