The Scientist will join our South San Francisco-based team and collaborate with a broader group including teammates in Spring House, PA and Beerse, Belgium focusing on adaptive immune mechanisms and pathways. Qualifications Ph.D. in Immunology Ability to design, execute, analyze, and accurately document laboratory experiments Experience with cellular immunology techniques expecially multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis (Examples may include; FACS, Diva, FlowJo, Excel, GraphPad Prism) is required Technical proficiency in ELISpot, multiplex assays (Luminex or MSD), ELISA, Western blot and qPCR/RT-PCR, gene expression is required Experience working on cell-based assays or in vivo pharmacology to support drug discovery (academic or industry) is preferred Experience with primary T cell-based assays (Examples may include; cytotoxicity, cell proliferation, cytokine secretion) is preferred. Experience of in vivo murine models and experience handling rodents is required Experience with mammalian cell/tissue culture and sterile technique is required Experience of handling human PBMC is preferred Intellectual curiosity and excitement to learn new techniques and technologies is strongly preferred Excellent communication skills to collaborate and empathize with team members of all backgrounds and geographies is required Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and presenting data, with ability to analyze what the data indicates and tell us the story of what it means is required Lab activities will be ~90% time Demonstration of robust oral, written and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work well in a quick paced, highly matrixed, interactive environment is vital. This position is located in South San Francisco, CA, and may require approximately 10% travel.
