We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Controls Engineer. Who will play a pivotal role in SCADA design and implementation on systems that meet all functional, performance, while delivering outstanding technical features. You will you act as the Controls technical lead on various projects, you will also supervise engineers on these projects. You will work with multi-functional teams including R&D, ME Engineering, Quality, Production and Maintenance. Responsibilities: Specify and develop the controls' architecture and standards for Surgical Vision Care Groningen manufacturing systems, with the ability to develop and program automated equipment. You will be the controls lead on multiple systems. Provide technical support to internal and external customers. Lead the development of control system architecture and standards for the production facilities, shop floor, SCADA and MES Develop solutions to meet functional and performance requirements including specification and implementation on Engineering projects in our production network across all project phases (concept development, requirements definition, supplier selection, testing. Develop the SRS, release to vendor and quote technical evaluation, ensure compliance with design reviews, including preliminary automation design, concept development. Participate in specification and standard creation for URS. Develop and establish software test plans for the control system and execution at suppliers and at J&J facility during installation and buy-off Develop and maintain a software lifecycle in a regulated environment and apply J&J control system architecture and standards, with suppliers Provide technical support for design verification, production, prototyping relating to the electrical/controls components of the projects, including review and approval of engineering control system drawings, technical documents and process specifications. Investigation of technical solutions together with suppliers and our production facilities as well as introduction of the respective solutions Qualification of new and/or improved manufacturing equipment and automation control systems. Validated experience of technical leadership in Software or Automation teams working on sophisticated electro-mechanical systems, control and Data Acquisition. Assist in problem solving with equipment build, debug software issues, and update all appropriate documentation. Qualifications Education: Software / Electrical / Mechanical engineering degree, extensive experience in a regulated industry. Experience and Skills: Required: Minimum of 7 years related experience in automation controls with HMI, SCADA, PLC’s, and safety system designs including schematics and panel layouts in a regulated manufacturing environment Consistent record to work closely with project management and inter-disciplinary teams to adapt to unique and changing requirements Design, qualification testing, and commissioning of high-reliability systems Verify all applicable safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed Leading automation software validation. Excellent analytical capabilities with a drive to challenge the status quo; eager to learn; puts the team first; robust and passionate to follow given objectives; uses failure as learning experience; excellent communicator with a high sense of urgency Preferred: Familiar with electrical standards: ASTM F24, IEEE, NEC, EN13814 Knowledge of safety standards EN/ISO 13849, EN/IEC 62061, EN/IS ISO 10218 Other: Someone who masters the English language and has knowledge of Dutch. If not proficient in Dutch, commitment to learning Dutch is required.
