    Position summary

    utside litigation counsel

    • Partner closely with third-party partners, company management, patent attorneys, and other personnel to work collaboratively in support of litigation

    • Counsel company management concerning patent, regulatory, and product exclusivity issues

    • Actively manage litigation budgets, partnering closely with outside counsel, litigation vendors, and the internal finance team

    • Develop strategies to resolve disputes, including negotiating and drafting complex patent settlement and license agreements

    • Contribute to cross-functional or departmental projects and initiatives

    Qualifications

    • A Juris Doctor Degree and admission to and in good standing with at least one state bar is required.

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in complex patent litigation is required.

    • Experience handling all aspects of pre-trial case preparation and management including discovery, witness preparation, writing and review of major briefs, and selection of experts and preparation of expert reports is required.

    • Experience managing litigation budgets is required.

    • Experience managing multiple complex matters simultaneously in multiple jurisdictions is required.

    • Trial experience is required.

    • Experience negotiating settlements is preferred.

    • Substantial experience with ANDA and BPCIA litigation is preferred.

    • Experience with inter partes review proceedings before the PTAB at the USPTO is preferred.

    • Experience developing sound, clear, practical legal advice in a business setting and/or to business clients

    • The ability to work across business functions and cultures with teams across multiple time zones and independently in a fast-paced environment is required.

    • Must be available for moderate travel within the US and occasional travel outside the US.

    In accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 -$276,000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
