Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Finance Compliance. This position is located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. As a Senior Manager, Compliance (GPO) on the Financial Compliance team, your job will be to own and drive compliance by design initiatives and support execution of controls across our landscape, partnering closely with IT, Finance and our global financial risks and compliance teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should understand the criticality of compliance on J&J’s financials and have extensive experience designing, implementing processes and controls. Facilitate the ongoing execution of audits of various financial, operational and IT controls across complex platforms within the teams. You will be effective at collaborating across teams driving clarity and impact. The role will work with key stakeholders in Global Services, Internal Audit, and Controller to identify process improvements and introduce productivity enabling technologies. Additionally, the GPO must collaborate with other Finance and Functional GPO’s to ensure effective and efficient process operations and leverage cross-process synergies. This will be facilitated by performing internal and external benchmarking of process designs and performance based upon key performance indicators.  This role enables J&J to significantly enhance business capabilities by driving consistency in Accounting processes globally. Key Responsibilities: Implement and support ongoing execution of business, Finance and IT controls and quality metrics across platforms Analyze, troubleshoot, and proactively challenge existing processes and workflows - suggest and support implementation of necessary changes in order to improve influence/business impact Analyze and leverage existing data to make / take informed decisions, improve existing processes / systems and simplify and create strong plans with minimum risk Direct and collaborate with Control Owners / Performers to ensure that controls are being performed and evidenced in a timely manner and meet all External Reporting, Management Reporting, SOX and regulatory program deadlines Support Control Owners / Performers throughout the ongoing Internal and External SOX and Operational audits, including development of remediation plans of any deficiencies or gaps identified Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to proactively collect feedback to drive positive changes in operational compliance processes Establish a strong relationship and become a trusted advisor that provides timely status to key internal/external stakeholders and partners Understand business objectives and plans accordingly; critically review multiple plans and adjust as needed. Proactively communicate and address necessary priority or capacity trade-offs. Collaborate with corporate functions, (e.g. Internal Audit, Compliance, Worldwide Procedures, Treasury and Tax) to ensure the regular update of policies and procedures, and the adjustment of any processes to reflect changes required by these bodies Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for an ongoing training methodology and program for processes, systems, and policies in collaboration with the business, corporate and global services Qualifications Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent education in required. Master’s Degree with focus on Finance or Accounting; MBA is preferred. Required: A minimum of 8 years of Compliance, Assurance, or Finance/accounting experience. A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Finance transformation programs. A minimum of 5 years of experience of Finance and ITGC, control design, specifically around the deployment systems, processes, and practices. Successful experience leading design and implementation of new business processes and controls across multiple teams and complex integrated ecosystems and dependencies, comprising an end-to-end solution Successful experience defining scenarios and requirements, and design solutions in a streamlined, agile fashion incorporating quality in use principles People management and ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed environment required. Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of stakeholders Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in global compliance and regulatory requirement variations impacting the General Accounting Processes. Ability to proactively identify and mitigate process risks within a cross-functional, global organization Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment Exceptional business and finance acumen, including SOX and compliance expertise Preferred: Deep understanding of continuous process improvement techniques A team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others Skilled at working across multiple client / business partners and developing strong relationships with business leaders Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as MBA, Master's in TAX/Economics/Accounting, CPA, CIA, CMA etc. Understanding of next-generation technology (e.g. Central Finance, Access Management, RPA) and how they can drive process improvement Flexible and adaptable; able to thrive in ambiguous situations Anticipate needs, assess and manage business risk taking; escalate issues that may impact their process globally; manage through times of crisis and ambiguity Working knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS, FP&A systems and tools Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present complex information Multi-country and multi-sector experience Other: Limited domestic and international travel up to 10% required At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
